Interested in becoming an SCA Work Skills instructor? Apply now!

SCA is seeking qualified Conservation Work Skills Apprentices!

Apprenticeships are an important part of the SCA Conservation Work Skills history.  Serving as an apprentice allows SCA staff to become more familiar with whom you are, and the specific skill sets you can bring to the SCA Conservation Work Skills program.  Interested individuals can read over the description of the Apprentice tracks and review the Apprentice track schedule.  Once a person has the confidence and competence to teach any of those subjects they may apply to become an apprentice.

To apply for an Apprentice Instructor position for 2017, you will need to submit the following:

  • A resume and cover letter
  • At least 2 professional references (may include SCA staff)
  • Indicate your connection & involvement with SCA

A minimum of Basic First Aid/ CPR Certification is required (Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder preferred for some sites).  In addition, you will need to pass a criminal background check & a Motor Vehicle Report review.  Qualified applicants must attend the entire track to be considered for a position in following trainings.
